There are a huge number of Brits who's first experience of Canada is thru their Army service. Never did it myself unfortunately and i believe it was mainly for the armoured regiments.
Anyway i regularly drive passed the place so i wandered if any of you recognised any of these pics.

ReplyDeleteI had an awful time in Gagetown New Brunswick at a Canadian forces Base. I think it was actually a mosquito breeding ranch of sorts.
ReplyDeletei had a bad experience with mozzies in Germany, we were doing an escape and evaision exersise, it was in this lake area and there were millions of the damn things.
ReplyDeleteOne morning i couldnt even put my fingers together, my hands were so swollen. Not sure how swollen my face was but i could see my cheeks out of the corner of my eye.
