Does anyone find this helpful or interesting

Hi

had this idea for creating my own (easy to understand) reference manual using the stuff that i find out on the road. If you want more please let me know, it may be a bit slow coming thru as i am drawing everything from scratch, also please note that i am an ordinary driver not some regulation expert so if i make a mistake please let me know.

Heres one of the pages, if you want to copy it please feel free.
NB.
Thanks Stu for your input, have another close look and let me know what you think, im going to look at the US Next.

  1. Interesting blogging Lyndon. Was just browsing for a Wincanton logo and came across your blog. Currently work for Wincanton (Head Office) - good to read your exploits. Hope your lack of anonymity doesn't get you into any strife with the Canadian/US authorities!!!

Will now catch up on the bits I missed (like March 07 to Jan 08. That might take me a while.

    Keep blogging.

  3. G'day Lyndon. Just wondering, aren't tri-axle weights dependent on the axle spread? ie spread 2.4 -3.0 metres max 21000kg, spread 3.0 -3.7 metres max 24000kg. Maybe doesn't affect h&r if all their tri's are the same...Interesting info on www.infratrans.gov.ab (commercial t'portation > road restrictions > legal weights & dimensions). Really enjoying ur blog mate, hopin i'll be back in Canuckland soon, eh. Cheers, Stu.

  6. It's also true that each state and province has its own weight limits, but still best to keep it simple as we do here at BFS, Mb

  7. Hi again Stu

I really appreciate your input, critisizm (s'cuse spelling) call it what you will.

Still not sure where this idea is going.

I even (just for a second) had a notion that i had enough ideas & info to create a full website.

Wow imagine that, a full blown website with a blog, a forum, links pages, competitions, stories (both mine and others)pics, video.

Possibly even a gift shop with caps, mugs, T-Shirts.

Holy Shit, if i ever start talking like this again please shoot me !!!

  8. Hell, i'm no expert!! I haven't even driven in canada for 4 years...However, i've spoken with steve whittaker and i'm coming back to Big Red Team soon, sorting out paperwork now.
But you're right, all the info for different provinces/ states would take so long to sort out u wouldn't have time to drive! And unfortunately web-sites don't pay by the mile...
Would your giftshop sell corn dogs??

  10. Nice piece and pictures about my hometown, Butte, America. We live 16 miles from the border in extreme NE Montana now. We probably know more about what is going on in Sakatchewan and Canada than in the US. Be safe and best wishes, Stan

How about doing something to get the Newcastle Magpies back on the right track.
