Dunno why i didnt do a feature on him before, i guess it was coz i didnt want people thinking i was trying to copy the "Koog & Boots" idea.
Anyway here he is in all his splendor.....................
Ted first joined me before my first tour of Northern Ireland which is why i made him that little combat jacket just to make sure he was safe.
Together weve been thru 2 Northern Ireland tours, 2 Falkland Island tours, he came out to the Middle East with me and was actually sat on the dash as we rolled over the border into Iraq.
Hes also had many other adventures in which he managed to lose both eyes and copious amounts of fur. The mask, if i remember correctly, came after the Gulf War when he gained Ninja status.
.......... And now he travels the Highways of Norh America.
I cant believe a stuffed teddy bear is more well travelled than I am...haha dammit!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, the Northern Ireland issue attire. Wouldnt be without mine on the way to the shop for some milk... lol
Heres a true side story Curt and nothing to do with your comment.
ReplyDeleteWe were on exersise in Germany in the days before the Kevlar helmet.
A mate of mine did such a good job of skrimming (camoflaging) his steel helmet with local foliage, he put it down and couldnt find it again.
Strange but true !!!
I also know a man in Belfast who was arrested at a gas station.
ReplyDeleteHe was refuelling his car and smoking at the same time, he splashed some gas on his coat and his whole sleeve caught fire.
He was arrested for having an Armour-lite !!!
