Jumping thru hoops.............

'Allo, 'Allo, this is Canada calling.......................

Leeeeson, carefully, i shall say zis only wernce

Today was another "pain in the butt" day, we went up to Calgary to jump thru some more immigration hoops, this time at the hands of the Germans.

In a nut shell, when i was in the military, i lived in Germany for a fair few years and when Jan and i got married we moved to Germany. For that reason we need to obtain police clearance from the German authorities.

You dont hear me moaning very often but i want to share this with you so please bear with me......

We, like so many others, who wish to make Canada their permenant home, but have spent more than 6 months in Germany, have to travel to Calgary (2 and a half hour drive) to fill in a form (which surely could have been done at home and posted in) and hand over $65 each. We were told to take our passports but they werent even looked at.

That was a pain but understandable.................................................

Then in about 3 weeks, the police certificate is posted to our home address...................

Now considering these are intended to go to the Canadian immigration board who im sure speak English, have a guess at what language the certificate is in ???

Anyone who said Croatian......Stop being silly 8¬(

Anyone who said English....... Thats even sillier ;¬)

Anyone who said German..... Take a schnitzel and go to the top of the Klasse.

These people must knock (no not Knockwurst) hundreds of these things out to Germans or even non Germans who are applying to live over in Canada permanently, to give to English speaking Canadian officials.

So why in Gott's name do they send the dam (scuse the pun) things over in German......

The "Fallen Madonna with the big boobies" must be turning in her grave.

So to summarize:

Drive to Calgary, fill in form, pay $65, come home.

Check mail box till letter arrives with a german stamp on it.

Take said letter to Calgary, hand it over, hand over $45, come home.

Next day return to Calgary, retrieve clearance, mutter "Donkey Shern", come home.

...And thats your clearance Clarence !!!
