Back to Canada then Back to USA

Well i tipped in Sutherlin, picked up a new load in Salem and headed of to Calgary where i dropped the trailer, took an empty to Lakeside in Brooks, got a new load off them and last night headed down to Milk River by the Sweetgrass border.

This morning recieved customs clearance, crossed the border, completed meat inspection and headed South. Tonight i am in (a"J") at McCammon in Idaho. Tomorrow i push south into Utah, Nevada and California and will stay the night at a Pilot in Hesperia then Wednesday i deliver a trailer full of meat into Vernon in Los Angeles.

I almost forgot, coming up to the Canadian border the other day a wolf ran in front of me, i grabbed the camera and got a lucky shot out of the side window, i didnt even have time to see what i was snapping, it was a lucky shot and i got him centred in the pic, double click and you will see him.

  2. Awesome. Wish we had that wildlife here in the UK. Are there any dangerous snakes, spiders etc in Canada, what with the climate and all?

Keep up the good work. Stay safe mate.

By the way, what are the frequency's of you getting home, and how long do you get off before having to go out again?

  4. Hi Andy

So far ive seen 2 bears, 2 wolves, loads of deer, and some elks but they were on an elk ranch in Idaho.

Most of the snakes over here are harmless, we found a garter snake in our garden, it was about a foot long.

I didnt think there were any dangerous spiders but Koog got bit a few weeks ago and his hand all swelled up apparently. Not sure where he was though.

I do 14 on then 3 off and it was my choice.

The way i works is like this. You saw the satelite in my previous post, you apply for time off as you go, as long as they got a week or more notice its usually okay, that goes on you dispachers diary and they try to get you back for those days.

If you dont keep applying then you dont get days off, i usually do it on my first day back in the cab so they always get 14 days notice.
