Two more States to add to the list
Doesnt show much but its nice
Bit of desert
Welcome to Arizona
Weird but clever sign
Red Arizona
Desert & white tipped mountains
Thought this was apt coz im forking off back to Canada tomorrow
Okay last night i was at McCammon in Idaho, tonight i am at Barstow Flying J just outside Los Angeles, i did quite a bit of mileage today but in a nutshell i went down thru idaho,Utah, Arizona and West(ish) thru Nevada and into California.
I didnt think too much of Salt Lake City, very misty, smokey or smoggy (dunno which) in the morning and traffic is quite heavy, i was suprised at how much industry and smoke stacks there were.
Down thru a huge (and i mean huge) canyon in Arizona and out into the desert. Thru the centre of Las Vegas which also has a lot of smokey type industry, you dont see that on CSI, imagine Grissom coughing his lungs up in a morning after breathing that lot, while hes trying to piece together a corpse, trying to figure out why the feet were real but the legs were wooden, i dont think so somehow.
Anyway back to the plot, i saw Ceasars Palace and a few other famous buildings and a giant fairytale castle, yep okay very impressive..............then drove on into California. As usual heres the pics.........enjoy!
Hi Lyndon,
ReplyDeleteThat Desert shot with the mountains is absolutely fantastic. What better way to earn a living than have that view to look at!! I want to get out there and live NOW, except my missus wants to go out to see the place first. I'm ex Army, so I'm not bothered about going to a place I've never seen before, Christ, you should have seen some of the places I've been to in the Army!! Lyndon, I emailed H&R but I didn't get a reply. Is it best to phone them??
Cheers dude. Andy
When I see the pic with the palms on the desert,I only want to listen "The Eagles"!!

Lyndon,
ReplyDeleteSo I take it I have to go through an imigration company to get on with H&R then? I understood that you went with H&R direct? Is there a cost to this service??
Cheers mate.
PS I got out in August 2001.
Hi Andy
ReplyDeleteYes you go thru VRV which is an agency based in Calgary. Dont worry its covered by H&R, all you have to pay for is the training, you can have it taken out of your pay over 10 weeks.
VRV will do everything for your initial work permits and get you working for H&R and its free.
They also offer to look after your perm res when its time but they will charge you or that.
Give them a call and they will explain all to you.
Lyndon
Thanks Lyndon,

Hi Judith
ReplyDeleteit might be an idea to read all thru the blog as nearly all the answers are in there.
I have the same truck (3045) all the time, i am out for at least a week or at most 2 and a half weeks, my days at home are from one and a half to 4 depending on what i have planned or how long i have been away.
our out goings on rent and utilities is about $1800 and i earn roughly double that after taxes, wages are paid weekly and paid per mile, the wage details can be found on
www.hrtrans.com.
Hope that helps
Lyndon
