My latest little jaunt takes me back to Chicago so today i drove along my old favorite road, Highway 2, West to East from Montana to North Dakota. You may have noticed that i have driven that route scores of times now, and i always have something new to say about it.
Well now its time for another little lesson, ive written about this place before but i dont think i did it justice, now i have seen more of it and researched abit about it i thought it would be nice to share.
Okay the Badlands, its not all flat and boring like i previously said, actually it is bumpy, colorful and interesting.
I pulled over at a place called Painted Canyon which is part of the Theodore Roosevelt National Park, so named because in his early years (before becoming Prez of the USA) Theo was a rancher in the area.
Anyway its not all about him, its about the land, there are all different colors caused by all manner of different natural phenomenon, as per normal i photographed the info boards so you, dear reader, can experience first hand the natural wander that is "The Badlands".
