These trailers go on the trains, inter-modal i think its called
H&R rented office space
A city truck
I think this might be a recruitment car
Its not really our yard,i think we just rent some of it, what ever the score is its a pretty depressing place. Personally i dont like big cities and Mississauga is too close to Toronto for my liking. The only decent thing there is the polish hotdogs.
Dropped my empty trailer in there after delivering to Kitchener and had to wai a couple of hours for my west bound load. Time for a few photos, a bite to eat and a little snooze. Got the load and the seal was missing so i had to wait around again. I went round to the Husky to Scale off while i was waiting so as soon as the seal turned up i was ready to go.
Traffic was really heavy coming out of Toronto, apparently a car had a fender bender and when the driver got out to check the damage he got cheeseburgered by another car, pretty grim apparently, killed instantly. Im sure that will make he local papers.
Anyway got out of town and made it to North Bay. Hehe, i make it sound as though there is something there to get to. I parked on the petro truck lot (waste ground) and slept. Next day headed for Nipigon where there is a decent Husky, slept, showered and had 2 corn dogs.
Point to note: Canadian corn dogs are half the size as American ones and twice the price.
Today, freshly washed & scrubbed, fueled the beast and headed west again. Bears (cops) were having a field day in Ontario enforcing the 90km speed limit so no heroics today, just set the cruise control and enjoy the scenery.
Had a few words with some Canadian drivers,3 trucks came screaming up behind me mouthing off on the CB about getting off the road. I politely told them that there was a passing point 1km up the road and i would slow down so all three could get past.
A woman driver said"if you want to use the CB then speak English", obviously refering to my accent.
I then reminded her that i was English, its my language and we invented it, i also said that we dont mind others using it but remember it belongs to us.
This got the desired effect at channel 19 was completely blocked out by all three of them voicing their contempt all at the same time.
They sped off into the sunset leaving me thinking"why is there never a speed trap when you need one".
The rest of the run was pretty unaventful and i got to the Flying J in Winnipeg pretty early so it'll be an early start tomorrow as i head to Edmonton via Saskatoon to make my delivery.
By the time i get back to the 'Bridge i will have done 5500miles on this latest little adventure so it will be a couple of days R&R then back out into the void..........................................
