Mornin' readers, special mission is over, 3045 got her feet back on the ground and new trailers collected. I spun round to Balkamp (about 20 mins drive) to collect my load north and they were shut, so, i pulled into the kerb, side lights on, curtains drawn and settled down for the night. I was near a housing estate so some generous soul was letting me use their internet connection.
Nothing much to report, half an hour on the internet then beddy byes. This morning i got loaded and im heading back to Canada.
I just stopped off at Willard Flyng J for a drink for 3045 and a cheeseburger and a kabob for me and thats where i am now.
Its 11 and a half hours to the border but i know the weather is horendous in Montana so i am aiming to get to Great Falls tonight and trundle in, in the morning. Got a nice 2 days off when i get back then hopefully back down to California coz im getting burrito withdrawl.
3045 got a bit of wind damage on the way down, shes not used to going 60 mph backwards................oops!
I was told this morning that i should have put special straps on, now that information would have been really usefull 2 days ago.
Please, lets have no comments about 3045 having her flaps stretched, shes feeling a bit self concious at the moment.
lucky you with the APU... Wish I could get MY company to do something like that!
