Well were headin' back north, carrying our cargo of jam, pasta sauce and some crispy croutons, we say good-bye to the good people of West Sacremento and two mighty Detroit Diesels roar into the crisp wintery Californian evening and head out into the majestic snow capped Rockies.
Channel 11 was the chosen frequency, the CB banter was light and the traffic heavy as we ploughed onwards through the city and into the foothills of the mountains, as we left the urban jungle the traffic became less and the roads became wide.
Soon we were ascending and the temperature was dropping and the snow covered the trees and sage bushes. It started to snow as the two Freightliners climbed steadily through the snow line and up into the higher parts of the mountain range.
Before long a fine layer of snow covered the asphalt and still the trucks climbed, each laden with their cargo of jam, pasta sauce and crispy croutons.
Soon the summit was in sight and the trucks ploughed on, crossing the peaks and starting their controlled descent down to the praries bellow.
JK Rowling eat yer bloody heart out......................... hehe
