im sat in the Hook (Flying J) at Winnamucca and i will be leaving in about half an hour. My backload got all cocked up and i didnt get it till last night so i drove thru the night last night to clear the mountains and im driving thru the night tonight to get as far north as i can, sleep thru the day tomorrow and trundle into Lethbridge tomorrow evening.

My collection was down by Salinas, got down there Sunday night and there was just no where to park anywhere, after a hour trawling round the town i managed to wedge it down a side street and there was just enought room to get the back end in.

Salinas is a lovely place but a nightmare in a truck, anyway i got delayed at my first pick up and also delayed at the second, i try to avoid night driving over here but its either that or lose 6 hours. Now i am getting back every week i have to make every hour count or i just wont get round in time.

Go on i dare someone to ask me if H&R are giving me enough miles, i like to drive hard anyway but sometimes i have to go the extra mile (excuse the pun)

I have been asked about burger vans over here. In most towns and in most industrial areas, especially in Hispanic areas, there are vans that trawl round all the companies. The one down in Salinas was great, i think there were about 20 types of burito and the food was fantastic.

I tried a Mexican Breakfast, which was spicey ground beef, pan fried potatoes, some sort of bean and bacon and all in a burito, that went down nice with some chicken wings and a corn dog, washed down with a tin of ice cold iced tea.
